Singing for the first time ever outside France, Valen’Choeur, made up of 20 mixed-voice singers from Valencin, near Lyon, have chosen the Isle of Wight to sing two concerts, presenting a selection of popular songs ranging from classical through to jazz, gospel, folk and pop. Songs will be performed in both English and French in a musical spectrum that stretches from Handel to Queen, sung "a capella" or accompanied by our resident guitarist. Entrance is free but we will be selling raffle tickets and holding a prize draw at each venue for a hamper of delicious French specialities plus extra goodies. All donations at the concerts will go towards local charities.
